This place is excelent. The food was amazing and so was the service. If you want authentic, look no further. The atmosphere is amazing. There are tables with couches instead of chairs. Will be making this one of our regular places now. Thank you!
Dec,6 2014 Tried a new Restaurant tonight on 14 mile Rd East of John R , across from Pure sleep Called Sinbad's Middle Eastern food. There were no Handicapped Parking spots so we had to walk the full length of the restaurant from the back lot. It was 620pm and there were only two other couples dining. We sat at a table that had two black leather sofas instead of booth seats. It was somewhat comfortable, but you really couldn't sit near the table . We wanted shawarma, and lamb chops as that's what we had a taste for. The waitress took our order and then brought our salads w/Italian dressing on the side. I asked if they had the dressing with the sumac seasoning and she said no, I asked for tahini and they don't have that, or the hot bread . She brought us two pieces of pita bread and some garlic sauce, followed by our dinners. There was No Shawarma taste to the chicken at all that had been cut off a spit, and the chops looked hand cut in irregular thicknesses, and were way over cooked to well done. The dinners came with a humungous amount of rice and some veggies on another plate. When I asked about maybe getting some sauce with the shawarma seasoning in it I was told they didn't have any, but the beef has a lot of flavor and I should have ordered that. There were only forks and spoons on the table and no knives, or salt and pepper. The food wasn't horrible, just lacking in flavor. I don't think they will be in business long if this is any indication of their quality of service.
