such a random joint can't tell if it's japanese, korean or vietamese? taking a mix of ingredients notable from different culture and mashing it up together.....and surprisingly it works? the beef bowl was tasty, edamame, kimchi, bean sprouts and lotus chips sides won me over. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–40

Always looking forward to my next chance for Small Grain. With such delicious and beautifully prepared dishes from Hedeh and his happy team, one can’t keep away for long. I’ve been dining here since we relocated from the mainland in 2023, consistently delighted — Small Grain is one of the all-time greats. Hedeh makes an absolutely legendary beef bowl, karaage chicken and popcorn cauliflower, and the crispiest chips. Can’t wait for the chocolate and raspberry puddings to make a come back (IYKYK)! In the cooler months, dining-in is a lovely vibe particularly for solo diners or couples. In the warmer months, I highly recommend takeaway for a sunset picnic in Princes Square across the road. Ordering pick-up is a breeze, pop in or drive by and wave to collect. A must for visitors to Launceston and locals alike. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–40

The food was so delicious and the flavours were mouth watering. Our son was visiting from the mainland and we all enjoyed our lunch.
