Этот ресторан находится неподалеку от Berger Street (Berger Strasse). Посетите Sonamu и откройте для себя меню корейской кухни. В этом месте стоит заказать вкусно приготовленные франкфуртские сосиски, пряный суп и корейские блинчики из кимчи. Многие посетители приходят сюда, чтобы попробовать аппетитные блины. Закажите здесь хорошее пиво или неплохой соджу. Обязательно закажите тут вкусный чай или неплохой кофе.

The first contact by phone was very friendly. I quickly realized that the restaurant is very popular and a reservation is therefore necessary. The requested time (7 p.m.) could not be realized, but I was offered 6 p.m. for 2 hours on the same day. Actually, I don't like such time windows. Waiting times? Time to eat? Hectic? But more on that in a moment. Since I've never been to Korea, I don't know what a typical Korean restaurant looks like. The first impression in Sonamu is slightly reminiscent of a blockhouse style. However, not so raw, but the whole thing is made of a finer wood. This is eliminated with the red eye-catchers, such as the shiny red chairs, the red napkins and the pretty decorations. The menu seems quite manageable at first. However, upon closer inspection, I found 2 dishes that really appealed to me. I almost went for the braised ribs, but ended up going with the dop bap with lots of vegetables and beef. And it was really tasty, with a pleasant spiciness. Since I'm currently eating more low-carb, I only tried the rice (it was good). The dishes we ordered came very quickly - so we had enough time to eat in peace and leisure. The staff was very attentive, informative and extremely nice. We checked several times to see whether we had everything, whether it tasted good, whether something was needed... The prices are quite acceptable for Frankfurt standards. The three of us paid 74 euros for 3 dishes, 2 x water and a glass of Primitivo. The Primitivo was okay, but not quite to my taste. But the wine can't do anything about it. I also thought it was nice that there were small pieces of fruit in the water glasses - I find something like that thoughtful and just makes me happy. By the way, it wasn't possible to pay by card, but I had enough cash in my pocket. This is a shortcoming these days and there is still room for improvement. During a “front door conversation” we chatted and learned all sorts of informative things. For example, that it is authentic Korean cuisine (not adapted to the German/European palate) and that the whole thing is family-run. If you prefer it spicier - there are no upper limits - just let us know. It was by the way the first time I had Korean food. CONCLUSION: an attractive, not over-the-top restaurant where I ate well and plentifully and that I would be happy to visit again.
