I don’t throw around the phrase “life-changing pastry experience” lightly—but Sprinkle Donuts is hands down the best donut shop in all of Reno Let’s talk about the blueberry fritter. Actually, no—let’s respect the blueberry fritter. This thing isn’t a donut, it’s an event. A spiritual awakening. A chaotic masterpiece of crispy edges, molten blueberry pockets, and just enough glaze to make you question every other breakfast decision you’ve ever made. I took one bite and genuinely considered canceling the rest of my day to sit in my car and process what just happened. The outside? Perfectly crisp like it fought for its life in the fryer and won. The inside? Soft, warm, bursting with blueberries like they were legally required to overdeliver. It’s sweet, but not in that cloying, regret-inducing way—more like “I deserve this and possibly three more.” And here’s the dangerous part: you think you’ll just get one. You won’t. You’ll stand there, staring at the case, rationalizing why you need backups. “For later,” you’ll say. There is no later. There is only now, and now is fritter time. If you haven’t been to Sprinkle Donuts, fix that immediately. If you have been and didn’t try the blueberry fritter, I don’t know what to tell you—except that redemption is still possible.
