Attended a Wake here. Staff were extremely accommodating and efficient. They presented a lovely buffet lunch and worked hard clearing glasses and plates. A great team effort. Well done to all the staff working to make a perfect end to a villager's life.

We had a great lunch today, there was a BBQ menu and the food was delicious. Service great. The outside space does need a spruce up though, there are far too many tables crammed on to the terrace and the fake grass doesn’t look good. Furniture all looking tired. Appreciate it’s difficult to keep it looking pristine but it did look a tad scruffy unfortunately. Service: 5

We had an our wedding reception at the Square & Compass in late August & we couldn’t recommend it enough. We both had the most incredible day. The food (BBQ), staff, service & execution was all 5 star. Georgia (the event manager), was extremely helpful leading up to the event & her communication was fantastic. On the day of the event, she was so attentive, organised & ensured the whole day went smoothly. It unfortunately unexpectedly rained on the day, but myself & my husband didn’t even realise because the team had such a well organised wet-weather plan which was executed so smoothly. I would highly recommend having your wedding celebration at the Square & Compass if you’re looking for fantastic food, great service, help with the organisation (Georgia had a list of vendors), smooth execution & a relaxed but beautiful location. Thank you Georgia, Paul & the whole team
