Unfortunately this restaurant is not what it once was. My family has been eating here since the 70’s and it was always so good. But our last visit on 8/21 was disappointing to say the least. They didn’t arrive until 7:45am and were supposed to be open by 7:30 but that’s ok, life happens right? But my first indication of a problem was there was not the usual stream of patrons waiting outside for breakfast. Once we were seated a few things stood out, credit card machine not working, not a real issue or deal breaker. Soda machine not working, ice machine not working, and as I walked in the back to go use the restroom I discovered the kitchen was in terrible condition. Disgusting is being kind to it, I can’t imagine how they can be passing health department inspections. Of course this was after being halfway through what was once my all time favorite biscuits and gravy. Same biscuits I have always loved the gravy however just didn’t have the same flavor. Unfortunately I don’t plan to return and that is heart breaking. I really hope someone gets in there and turns that place around. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: $1–10

Had breakfast at Star Restaurant in Hanford and it was such a nice experience! The pancake was massive and so good, and while the eggs were a little mild in flavor they were still tasty. It was pretty busy so the wait was a bit longer, but the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Best part, their prices are amazing! Our family of 5 ate for around $60. Great spot for a hearty, affordable breakfast.
