Thursday night half price burger special. Can’t go wrong there. Burgers were great as were the fries and onion rings. Drinks were ice cold and atmosphere was on spot. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Overall I like this bar. The drinks are great, the food is good and the patrons are friendly. Twice in the last 3 months I have been overcharged on my credit card. I don't know if it was an honest mistake or they are padding tips but the first time it was $5 and the second time it was $4.30. Check your statements. The Mill Bar & Grill on Anderson Mill Road is the ultimate no-frills spot—bright lights, cold beers, zero pretension. Always packed from 11 AM open to 2 AM close, with a lively crowd at the bar or patio. Not feeling it? The shopping center’s got backups (same owners, I think). Live music and open mics pop up often (don’t ask for the schedule—I forget). Slots are a hit, with regulars racking up big wins. Pool tables are perfect for distracting your buddies. Crowd skews older, so at 42 I feel like the kid in the room, but it’s low-key and welcoming. Always open when you need it. Solid food, but I’m there for the drinks and vibe. Only real downside: When the band plays, bad sound design kills conversation—you yell or shut up. Still, North Austin’s reliable gem. Hit it up. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
