The Stomping Ground in Putnam is an electric bar and kitchen with amazing grilled cheese sandwiches presentation on every plate that comes out of the kitchen is so I appealing makes you want to Dive Right In they're slow roasted pork that they put on grilled cheese sandwiches is probably the best I've ever had live music every night afternoon and evenings on the weekends the kitchen is open till 10:00 p.m. the staff is amazing I love the vibe of this place definitely come and check out The Stomping Ground as us locals call it the stomp Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Vegetarian options: Definitely has many gluten-free options

Decided to finally check this place out since I’ve been hearing such good things about it but, unfortunately we definitely won’t be back. Our server who was also bartending was in such a rush to take our order, mind you there were only three other people in the entire restaurant. She also blamed the cook for a minor food error to take the heat off herself which I thought was completely unnecessary. The food was mediocre. I ordered chicken tacos that were pretty dry but, the tomato balsamic flatbread was decent. The only postitive I have for this establishment is that the cook and the Asian bartender were very welcoming and friendly. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Hi JR! I am so sorry to hear you had an off experience with us. This not the normal way things go at the Stomp. The excessive heat wave for the week had us all a little scrambled for sure. Please give us another chance, as I can assure you it will be a great time. Cheers!

While looking for the place to be on the 4th of July, we visited stomping grounds. I will attempt to be polite. I despise bad reviews but sometimes they are necessary. We sat at a table and received curt, unwelcoming service from a bartender who had plenty of time on her hands to joke with the bar patrons. She made an unwelcome and distasteful comment about my disabling medical condition while checking my ID (I have debilitating tremors, she asked why I was shaking, saying "I dont bite"), a comment which I will not soon forget. She somehow managed to dehumanize me on a day when I was feeling otherwise very optimistic and patriotic. I am not a generally harsh critic of independent musicians, whose bravery generally earns my respect on its own. This musician was blatantly untalented and his performance was generally abrasive. The music was also being played at a punitively loud volume. If you're going to fail, I suppose you should fail with confidence. Run, don't walk, directly away from this establishment. Should occasion find you in Putnam, there are easily a half dozen other options. I will never return here and I take issue with any who do. The menu seemed to have interesting pub options, some creative appetizers, and a modest selection of beer and wine. Meal type: Other Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
