Went to the Barbie Experience for my cousin's birthday, and it was definitely cute and very Instagram-worthy. We had a lot of fun taking pictures with all of the themed displays. We went on a Saturday night with a 6:45 PM reservation. It was a little busy when we first walked in, but most people seemed to be there mainly for photos. By the time we were seated, things were already winding down for the evening. The reservation states there's a 90-minute time limit, but they let us stay longer since our section was practically empty the entire time. Honestly, for a Saturday night in Faneuil Hall, it was surprisingly dead. The reservation cost $33 pp, which they called an entry fee. Included in that was a $10 food credit per person, a $5 shop credit per person, and one coupon per item. Unfortunately, you can't combine the $5 coupons to purchase a single item . The entrance fee seemed a bit excessive for what it was. The menu was limited but fit the theme well—pink pancakes, grilled cheese, Smashburgers, spinach and artichoke dip, and similar comfort-food options. The food was pretty average and seemed more geared toward children. I had the burger, which was good enough but nothing memorable. The spinach and artichoke dip wasn't great, and the tortilla chips didn't seem very fresh. Entrees ranged from about $15–$22, and cocktails were around $17–$20 each. The drinks were adorable and very on-theme, but the pours were small. They're definitely more about the novelty and presentation than the actual drinks. I've never been to the Sugar Factory location before the Barbie takeover, so I can't compare it to what it was previously. The location itself is nice, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. Overall, I'd say this is more of a nostalgic girls' night out experience than a dining destination. It's fun, cute, and great for photos, but it's definitely geared more toward kids, and you're really paying for the experience rather than the food. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $80–90

I’m really disappointed because I was so excited to try this place since it seemed so cute and fun!! To start, the positive is that service was fantastic!! I was seated right away, my waitress Genesis was absolutely wonderful! Very attentive and friendly! The cocktails were delicious! I had a coconut margarita and I really enjoyed it! The decor is cute! Lots of photo opps! The negatives were the food. FOR THE PRICE???The food was not the worth the price. I had a simple New York strip steak (medium) with truffle fries. The steak was awful and small. It tasted like it was cooked on a grill that hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. It tasted like a piece of charcoal. The fries were mid at best. I added shrimp to my meal but that was nothing to write home about. The caesar salad was also ok. Just not worth the price. You can have a better tasting meal somewhere else for less. Which leads me to believe this place is purely for aesthetics. Because of this, the environment is like a chuck-e-cheese. Lots of little girls birthday parties, and kids running everywhere, hanging around the stairs, screaming, making a mess in the restrooms. It was awful. Had I known ahead of time that this place was simply a family friendly event restaurant that is mostly for cute pictures for social media, I would’ve tapered my expectations. This is not a place for foodies who care about flavor and value. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $70–80 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2

had an amazing experience at Sugar Factory Boston! The place is so fun and full of energy — the music, the colors, everything makes you feel happy. Our server, Jeisson, was absolutely wonderful! He was super friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations for drinks and food. The goblets were so cool, and the desserts were delicious.
