2 Stars — The Food Was DOO DOO I really wanted to enjoy my experience at Sugar Factory in Dover, but unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. I ordered the Classic Waffle — doo doo. The eggs — doo doo. The Double Stack Rainbow Pancakes — SUPER doo doo. The only thing that actually impressed me food-wise was the fresh fruit. That was good. I also ordered the Hypnotic Gobbler, and I’ll give credit where credit is due — the drink was good, and the presentation was really nice. But back to the food… WHERE WAS THE FLAVOR?! Everything was incredibly bland and tasteless. It honestly tasted like the kitchen was scared to use seasoning, butter, sugar, or ANYTHING that would give the food some personality. For the prices Sugar Factory charges, I expected the food to be just as impressive as the presentation. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. The drinks and presentation were doing their job. The food was not. 2 stars. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2 Price per person: $90–100

Never had the pleasure of tasting anything they had to offer. Walked to the podium to be seated and was told it’s a 30-45 minute wait even the the dining area was close to empty. I was told by other customers waiting that the kitchen was backed up. I waited in front of the restaurant for almost 45 minutes waiting and looking for me to be called when I noticed the young girl call in two other families that had gotten there after me. I went back to the podium and asked the young girl what happened to me being called, she checked my name on the list and realized she put my number in wrong but she kept looking at me waiting and approached others when their table was ready. She favored one family like their relatives of hers. I was upset and left after finally be seated. Spoke to the supervisor who apologized in a nonchalant way. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. I was hungry especially after such a long wait. Atmosphere: 5
