Suke Suke was such a great experience. A new favourite! Staff: There was plenty of staff on deck, everyone seemed to have a job and they did it to perfection. This meant although it was busy there was practically no wait time on food and drinks. They were friendly and genuine, and attentive to the details of our dining/drinking experience - they even replaced our chopsticks and plates with new ones for the latter part of our meal. Food: The food was delicious. The gyoza had the perfect crisp bottom, while remaining juicy and flavoursome. The lotus chips were SO good, and paired perfectly with the wasabi mayo. The tofu, octopus balls, skewers and popcorn chicken were also really delicious, and each so different - hard to pick a favourite. Drinks: A great range of Sake and Plum Wine, it so nice to have some of the sparkling and flavoured sakes I enjoyed in Japan! The dark Asahi beer on tap gets a special mention, definitely recommend. Also bonus points for having a good range of local wines, and Poor Toms Gin as the house poor for gin. Overall: Such good value, and a really fun menu. The service was impeccable even though it was relaxed. The atmosphere of the place was kind of Japan meets Melbourne, and although loud it had a pleasant buzz and I could easily chat to those around me. Even better than I had hoped or expected!
