Sun Star Chinese Cuisine is another restaurant that's one of my fav pre-Covid. Post Covid however this restaurant has gone downhill unfortunately. The restaurant is still adhering to Covid protocols and being extra careful so the indoor dining is still at 50% capacity. It's best to call to make reservations since there's not a lot of tables. Ambiance: It's your typical Chinese restaurant a bit dated in the decor. My daughters did point out the fishes in the fish tank are all dead and upside down. Which is so odd. Service: Service is great. The server was attentive and our food came quickly. Food: Food was ok. It was a lot fresher and the ingredients were better precovid. We ordered satay beef rice noodles. I think the noodles are not fresh since it breaks apart and is mushy when we try to pick it up. It was in chunks. The taste was not bad but not spicy the way satay should be. We got the bamboo rice with salty fish and steam pork slices. I wanted to order the clay pot rice but was told they were too busy and can't make it. The sweet and sour pork was tasty but a bit too much batter. They do give you free soup of the day. That day it was pork bone with lotus root. It didn't have flavour just taste like watered down pork broth. The prices did go up significantly. All in all I would not come back. For the high prices it's not worth it.
