I moved to Waterford over 3 years ago. Wanted to give Swazees the benefit of the doubt and tried to make myself a "regular". Of the 3 times i had gone, I sat at the bar and was not served in a timely manner. The bartender continued to serve the others and had gone out for numerous cigarettes. I left after 1 beer. Just tonight I decided to try again and ordered take out. Once I got in, I sat at the bar and was willing to have a drink while I waited. Even a gentleman at the bar asked if I had anything else to do tonight because Service was slow. There were about 4 people sitting at the bar and 2 servers behind the bar. Finally my wings came out and they were tiny, with a tiny container of dressing and wilted, gross veggies on the side. I have every intention of calling the manager pleading to close the restaurant portion. It's disgusting and hope that people will pass by swazees unless they want slow service drinks. Ugh.

The waitress didn't seem to know what the meals on the menu or the specials included. She brought me a coffee and told me to "taste it and see if it was okay because it was the bottom of the pot. If not good, she would make a fresh one." It was cold and tasted awful. Three containers of milk couldn't make it white. She didn't come back, so I drank it. My Hot Beef Dinner arrived and the gravy on it felt like it just came out of the fridge. The portion was generous and the baked potato large, but the cold gravy spoiled it. The second cup of coffee was hot and tasted fresh, but by then the damage had been done.

Like a whole different spot!. Swazzee's underwent a big makeover this past winter. It is now double in size and like a whole new place. Although it still services the "local bar" seekers, it now feels much more upscale, with a focus on being a restaurant. They have quite an extensive menu, with daily specials. My burger was huge and delicious, as was the fish and chips. It's exciting to have a "new" choice in Waterford.
