My family and I recently had a very disappointing experience at Tacotomia in Julia & Henry’s Food Hall. We approached the counter to order tacos, but were told they were closing. That was fine—we understand businesses have hours. What was not okay was what happened next. Instead of recommending any of the many other food options available in the hall, one of the employees suggested—while others laughed—that we go get fried chicken. As a Black family, the implication was clear and deeply inappropriate, given the long history of racial stereotypes tied to that suggestion. What made the situation worse was the visible laughter from multiple employees, which made the moment feel intentional rather than accidental. This wasn’t just poor customer service—it felt disrespectful and unwelcoming. To be fair, we did not escalate the situation in the moment. Instead, we chose to handle it calmly and move on. But experiences like this matter, and they should be addressed. I’m sharing this review not out of anger, but out of a hope that management takes a serious look at staff training, cultural awareness, and how customers are treated. No one should feel mocked or stereotyped when simply trying to order food. There are too many great options in that food hall to spend money where respect is lacking. Meal type: Dinner Service: 1

The prices are a little high (8 dollars for chips and salsa...) but the for is fantastic. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: $10–20 Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. They are on the second floor, but there is an elevator.
