First time customer. Placed pickup order on Doordash and was ready within 5 minutes. Place is tiny and cashier didn't greet me upon entering. I ordered a torta de lengua and got the red sauce. That torta was more bread than lengua and the rest of the ingredients combined. I would have expected more for $18.08. The red salsa was also really watery and dripped everywhere. I don't think I would give this another try out-of-pocket. Price per person: $10–20 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot

Taco Inn is more than just a "hole in the wall" on the North Side of Oxnard--it's a landmark of memory, flavor, and community. When I'm in need of comfort, when nostalgia hits just right, or when the weather turns cold and gray, this is where I go. In the heart of winter, or on a cloudy evening when the sky sits low and heavy, nothing warms the soul like a bowl of Albondigas. Slowly simmered meatball soup--potatoes, carrots, chayote, rice, onion, and cilantro--each spoonful seasoned not just with spices, but with generations of tradition. It's the kind of dish that pulls you backward through time. The scent alone transports me--like a VHS tape sliding into a VCR, grainy footage of my childhood flashing through my mind as the steam rises from the bowl. It's a home movie for the senses. A rewind button for the soul. Taco Inn isn't flashy. It's not dressed up for a first date or curated for an influencer feed. This is where you go with someone who knows your nickname, someone who understands the memories baked into the food. You don't take just anyone here--you bring people who want to know where you come from. People who want to taste what raised you. Or maybe... you come alone. To ground yourself. To remember. To pass something on. Because places like this don't just serve food. They preserve it--preserve tradition, culture, and the value of doing things the slow way. The right way. The way your grandparents did it. And when you think about it, that's really all it takes:. Fresh ingredients. A hot stove. And love. Taco Inn is a reminder of what matters. Of who you are. And of what it means to be home. At least that's what their Albondiga Soup does for my senses. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
