The tacos were a little dry, we also ordered the steak chips & that saved the dinner. It’s a little over priced for what we order. It’s a tourist area so it’s probably the hype. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

This spot in American Village is undeniably charming at first glance. The aesthetic is well done and fits perfectly into the lively, tourist-heavy atmosphere. Unfortunately, that’s where most of the effort seems to stop. It becomes obvious very quickly that the focus here isn’t on the food, which is a problem for any restaurant. Instead, the emphasis feels placed on appearance and location rather than quality. The tacos look good, but once you actually eat them, the overall quality just isn’t there. The ingredients across the board feel cheap, and the flavor falls flat, which makes the entire experience underwhelming. The pricing isn’t out of line for the area, but it doesn’t reflect what you’re getting. To be clear, this has nothing to do with authenticity. Plenty of non-traditional tacos still taste great. This just isn’t one of those places. If you know what good tacos taste like, this will not meet your expectations. The staff, to their credit, were excellent. Friendly, attentive, and professional across the board. The issue is entirely with the product. At the end of the day, this place feels built to draw in tourists rather than to serve genuinely good food. If you don’t have much to compare it to, you might think it’s decent, but otherwise, it’s hard to justify coming back. Overall, this is one to skip. There are better options around Okinawa that actually prioritize flavor and quality. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Taco Loco used to be so good me and my husband used to eat here all the time but I don’t know what happened the food has gotten so bad. The prices got higher but it tastes like they’re using cheaper ingredients and the drinks were watered down, the walls look dirty and the staffs don’t say “irasshaimase” when we enter and bye when we leave anymore. I don’t even feel good after eating their food anymore Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
