I just went to the Sawdust Festival and do not get me wrong, the Sawdust Festival is a great place. However, this Mexican food was subpar. The taquitos tastes like the frozen taquitos you can get at the grocery store, the rice tastes like microwave rice and the black beans tastes like they were straight from the can. I just would like to save everyone the trouble and order someplace else that serves fresher food. Next time, I think I will try the Mediterranean spot instead.

My sister-in-law and I each had an order of the taquitos. So good! For $8.00 we received 4 taquitos. They were crispy, but not over cooked and hard like so many restaurants serve. There was a more than ample amount of delicious guacamole and cotija cheese. The prize in this dish though, was the blended salsa/sauce. The flavour was amazing! I want the recipe!!!
We both would recommend the taquitos from Tacos Durrell

Wow, we haven't been to Sawdust Festival in many years but remember eating really good taquitos at Tacos Durrell. What a disappointment. The girl at the window seemed put out with us. We asked for chicken taquitos and a carnitas tacos along with side of beans and rice. We asked if there were raw onions on pico de gallo, she said yes, we said please leave out. We got our order, the taquitos were cold and rubbery, the pico had onions, the black beans and white rice were absolutely tasteless. Apparently the gal in the window did not like our questions and repaid us with the worse possible excuse for food. We will NEVER go there again and are appalled that the festival would have such a horrible food concession at their beautiful venue.
