Me and my wife ( out of towner’s )were walking and tried to use the bathroom after hearing them blast metal music from across the street and seeing people leave in and out around 1 am. So, we stopped by, but found out they were closing and there were people still in the place. Then, all we heard is the bartender, employee or one of the guest yell to not let them in (meaning us) and then either one of them got down on the inside of the door where we could see him and started flicking me and my wife off. Wrote this review because whoever was working or managing was allowing all of it. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

It was after hours and you wanted entry into the bar. The only other business in town closed at 12 there was no reason for anyone to be on the streets at that hour..I can apologize for any crude gesture my patron may have done while not …It was after hours and you wanted entry into the bar. The only other business in town closed at 12 there was no reason for anyone to be on the streets at that hour..I can apologize for any crude gesture my patron may have done while not letting you in but he was also trying to be funny because as we all know as do you im sure it is is illegal to gain entry to a bar at that time of night..Yes i told them to not let you in because it is against the law for me to do so..More

Tap & Barrel Tavern is a perfect place to feel at home. Huge selection of craft beers and spirits. Joshua (owner) couldn't have more gracious. Food is excellent. As a stater we had the wings with the blueberry habanero sauce and they were very good! We had the fried haddock sandwiches that were served on a toasted bun...delicious. Too bad we are from out of town or this would be our hang out for suds, sports and spirits!
