I want to start this off by saying this review has nothing to do with reception, the golf course or the rooms but strictly regarding the pool service. On Saturday July 11th I was a guest of someone who had purchased a cabana for the day. The group I was with mentioned there had been some issues with identifying which cabana was theirs when they arrived. We also had a hard time getting a server to our cabana so I walked inside and asked if it was ok to order at the bar- they said yes and a gentleman (Arik) who worked there overheard me. Instead of approaching me, he went out to the cabana my friends were at and apologized that they were down a person but still didn't offer to take their order. I waited at the bar to be helped for at least ten minutes and then someone proceeded to walk in and they helped that person first. Fine, no problem. When I return the lady in the cabana next to us had gone to use the facilities when suddenly the same gentleman who worked there, clearly irritated came over and started removing the woman's stuff from the cabana. All three of us were confident that she paid to be there and said so, he kept telling us no she didn't. When she returned she noticed the commotion and asked where her stuff was, he said "you did not pay for the cabana so I took your stuff inside" she repeatedly said "yes I did" he said "unless your HUSBAND with the BABY, is inside waiting for this to be available then sure it is" (this woman was older with some grey in her hair but his comment insinuated that she was too old to have a brand new baby) she began to cry, she was shaking and was clearly uncomfortable- as were we. Please keep in mind this man was large, tall and very muscular so to a woman he could be very intimidating especially with his tone and body language. He continued to argue with her and got frustrated saying no one told you to use this cabana- she again assured him that someone at the front desk did. He went inside and came back only to say "you're right you did pay for the cabana, for the trouble we will comp you A drink" A DRINK??????? We couldn't believe what we heard- she deserved to have the cabana comped and then some. Being berated by a staff member not only made her uncomfortable but it also made the people surrounding uncomfortable. We checked on the woman and assured her that we would say something about this incident because it was clear she didn't want to make matters worse- she just wanted to be left alone and enjoy her cabana that she PAID FOR. I understand that people may not realize the cabanas are reserved but there are different ways to go about it- the woman assured Arik many times that she had paid for the cabana and a staff member directed her where to go. It was quite honestly embarrassing how this was handled and not the way an expensive resort staff should act towards patrons. None of the pool staff really had a clue what was going on but both Violet and Ava were trying their absolute best to do their jobs. I love Tetherow but this experience was unacceptable, the service was terrible until an issue was raised, no one really seemed trained and had a hard time using the POS system. We still enjoyed our time using the pool but this experience was not what we expected. I hope that this review can be used as a training opportunity. Service: 1

Had a wonderful stay at Tetherow this past weekend. Reached out for assistance in planning a last minute engagement on the property and Jim made sure I was taken care of. All the staff were informed and were very excited. Thank you again! Service: 5

Tetherow is one of our favorite places not only in Bend, but in the entire state. After staying at Tetherow Resort several times in the past two years we decided to make it the place for our wedding and it did not disappoint. The venue, the staff, the amenities and service was top notch! Every thing was perfect and truly made our day special. Everyone from the Pro Shop to the front desk made this a wonderful weekend. We highly recommend Shelly and her team for any wedding or corporate events. Tetherow is by far, hands down the best resort in the Pacific Northwest!
