One of the best cafés in Liverpool. The value cannot be beat, and there is a wide range of food (and drinks) to choose from, from savoury to sweet. Staff are polite and friendly, the interior is decorated nicely and the food is amazing. I really recommend the wraps. A meal deal wrap includes a large wrap, generous portion of fries and a drink - for just under £9 (with a student discount). The wrap meal is enough to last me two meals! So I can't complain. The burgers are also delicious, and the waffles are freshly made; not that microwaved crap that you get at other cafés. My only complaint is that the ketchup is very sweet and tastes off-brand. It would be nice if they replaced it with a better brand. It is also important to note that the café only serves drinks on a Friday - no food - so don't make the same mistake I did. Students definitely need to check this hidden gem out - it's right by LJMU's John Foster and Rodney Street. Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Came into the Baltimore for a quick affordable lunch. Waited over 10 minutes for a coffee and then a further 50 minutes for a burger and chips. A group of 5 came down from their table and said they had to leave as they had waited a full hour on their linch break for their burgers. While the staff are lovely and friendly, they are clearly understaffed and it seemed unfair on the only barista behind the till who was running around. Proceeded to bring my burger back to work, and found my burger to be cold after an hour for it to be made. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
