Staying at “The Bobbie Merida” is the best! I’ve traveled to many places around the world. Bobbie and her son Brian are phenomenal hosts and have created such a welcoming space that makes you feel comfortable and at home. Even people that aren’t staying here come by and just hang out in the relaxing common area for the yummy food, fun conversation and ambiance. It is a recently remodeled building with charming character and amenities that you won’t normally find in the area * Fresh water dispenser in each apartment unit so you don’t have to lug water jugs on your own No One wants to do that! And it dispenses cold, neutral AND hot water So Great! * A/C and ceiling fan in each room * Full kitchen with new appliances including a FULL SIZE refrigerator in each unit so you can actually do real grocery shopping if you don’t want to eat out for every meal * Great quality hand and dish soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash * Excellent storage space for clothes with hangers * Great quality towels and bed linens * Televisions in each room * Full size washer and dryer access * Clean and refreshing swimming pool with a tranquil waterfall * If you’re working remotely, the WIFI is excellent The location is convenient to markets, restaurants, spas, and all the attractions in El Centro. The layout of the building is versatile so it can accommodate large families or groups as well. She hosted a couple of events recently for Valentine’s Day and the Super Bowl and has some others in the works. I definitely recommend staying at The Bobbie when you’re in Merida!
