I had a deeply upsetting experience at this Wetherspoon in Burnley involving a member of staff who appeared to be a manager. While my partner and I were quietly sitting and minding our own business, she turned to us and said, “we argue behind the bar over who has to serve the nonce,” clearly referring to my partner. This is an extremely serious and offensive accusation, implying criminal behavior, and it was made publicly without any provocation. We had done nothing to engage with her or cause any issue. This kind of language is completely unacceptable in any setting, let alone from someone in a position of responsibility. It was humiliating, distressing, and entirely unprofessional. I would strongly urge management to investigate this incident. No customer should be subjected to this kind of treatment. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Absolutely disgusted in the food. Stains on glass sent it back, missing food items sent it back, and then whilst my daughter is eating found 2 chips and one slice of cucumber with hairs on!!! She’d already eaten half of it and we’d eaten ours! The staff we complained to seemed annoyed we were complaining. Disgusted but what can u expect from spoons just pure scruffy. Laziness. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Quiet night at the boot inn. One man behind the bar,he was very competent, and treated us well. As usual a very relaxed atmophere. Needs some renovation but still, there a warm welcome. A few steps so not ideal for all. Toilets clean and fresh even late at night. Will go again willingly.
