Everything about this location is just okay. The one in Dexter is much better and more consistent. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Potato Salad, Dexter Bar-B-Q on Texas Toast, Pulled Pork

The ribs are the best I have ever had. They have a sweet smoky flavor and the meat is extremely tender and still moist. We also ordered a bbq melt made with the beef brisket. The meat was delicious and tender and flavorful also. We used the drive thru but there is also a welcoming dining room. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Recommended dishes: Ribs, Brisket Monterrey Melt

I like Dexter Bar-b-que, don’t get me wrong. I’m originally from Memphis, but this que is pretty good too. My problem is with the service I get when I want to go through the drive thru. The young lady, Hope, has such a lack of customer service skills that it makes me not even want to come back. While giving my order, she interrupted me unnecessarily to ask “anything else” at least 4 times when clearly I hadn’t paused or stopped speaking. Then, once I finished my order, she disappeared from the speaker. I waited and even asked if she got my order and nothing. When I got to the window, she didn’t say a word... she took my debit card and somehow it came back to be sticky with an unknown substance. 🤢 Next, she handed me the tea I ordered (see picture) and it wasn’t even full. I asked if I could get some more tea or some ice because the tea was warm, she told me she couldn’t take the cup back through the window and handed me another cup that was half full of ice. Last, she handed me the food and the boxes were almost sideways and the bag containing my hamburger was under them... why? Again, she didn’t say a word. I got home and there were no utensils, napkins or sauce that I asked for. Just a bad experience all around. The one positive note is that the food was great as always. But spending $40 at a place with a person having a bad attitude and poor service skills leaves me wondering if I want to deal with Hope again. Oh and why on the choose 3 meats combo plate can I not suddenly choose two of the same meats. I’ve been eating the same plate for over a year and have been able to do it every time and now I can’t? Curious mind wants to know...
