Very cool place. The food is great and the space is very open and comfortable. Beer selection is fantastic, but is ridiculously overpriced also. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ill start with the good since that's a shorter list. We were super excited to check this place out on our roadtrip. The name is cool and its not too far off of i10. There are 80 something beer taps and the beer tap fountain photo online, sold us on the place for lunch. Dispite only having one table in the restaurant and being extremely slow, the bartender failed to greet us kindly or promptly. The beer list app wouldnt load, but I understand that technical issues happen. We asked for food menus and without looking up from her phone, the bartender pointed to the kitchen and said "they're over there and you order with them". While Im not use to the do-it-yourself atmosphere in a restaurant, I realize this is fairly common around here, no biggie. I waited by the kitchen and had to ring the bell to get service. The guy was short and unfriendly. We only ordered an appetizer at this point, which when it came out, was incredibly disappointing and seemed to have been microwaved. We opted to sit on the patio only to find the fountain was a mess and not working, super bummed. We decided to cash out and asked the bartender if she could comp or discount the spinach dip appetizer and she said she couldn't, She didnt have the authority. When I asked if there was someone else who could help us, She said there was no one that could or would take care of that. There was not even an apology, a recommendation to try something else, or any bit of care. The bathrooms werent clean and the staff was miserable. We left and ate down the street, Incredibly disappointed. The building has so much potential but I can see why it was empty today. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry that your visit during your road trip didn’t live up to the expectations you had from our photos. Unfortunately, we are currently fixing a leak in our fountain but it should be back up and running very soon. While we do operate primarily as a bar—which includes our counter-service style and self-ordering—that is never an excuse for an unfriendly or dismissive attitude from our team. We clearly missed the mark on hospitality during your visit, and for that, we apologize. The atmosphere is awsome, the server are pleasant, the food is excellent, and the enjoyable time I spent with my son was priceless. Love me some of The Bulldog, Baton Rouge Louisiana
