Grabbed the missus for a rainy night out and found this joint - The Clifford. Jonno the bartender welcomed us in warmly and got us some quiet seats. Dora took our order and was very attentive and patient with our dietary needs, suggesting possible alterations for items we couldn't have. We ordered the Scotch fillet, tenderloin, greek salad and chocolate mousse. The steaks were juicy and cooked exactly as we asked, medium and medium rare (beef jus sauce was delicious). Greek salad light and fresh. I normally don't get a chocolate mousse when I go out but Jonno recommended it and I have to say, that's getting ordered again. Presentation was great but the taste - so chocolatey and smooth. I spoke to George on the way out and he was very hospitable, it felt like we weren't just patrons - but guests. The food, the vibe, the service. The Clifford delivered it all tonight, thanks for your hospitality! One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Really recommend having dinner at this cute, romantic date spot that's just a few minutes' walk away from Ripponlea Station. The menu included a lovely assortment of Mediterranean and modern Australian dishes, and the service from George, Jono and Dora was exceptional. It was the perfect way to spend a rainy Saturday night. Order type: Dine in
