Where do I begin! As as I am writing this, I am sitting by the window, on the green velvet armchair, sipping this bitter sweet cocktail called 'of some import', tasting the strong hint of orange and chocolate bitters and I wonder why this little feminine beauty has been named 'of some import'. I would like to know or for Artist Residence' genius team to tell this artist who's on her writing retreat, the significance of this cocktail that resonates through its name. What is the importance of this cocktail, the mix of the type of ingredients that tells me the story of Anais, who stayed in my room on the third floor in 1920s in search of her missing soul. Or is it because on this day, a witch, a sorcerer, a haegtes finally finds her path. Why is this lemon and orange, this citrusy sweet drink is reminding her of the time Anais sat on that exact location, by the window and gazed out to the sea while the sun landed the shadows of the past stories of the city on her notes, while she wrote in her diary. Artist Residence revives not one but many many stories that had been hiding in that room for centuries and finally, revealing itself to the right owner of the truths, the right protector. Whilst I let the heat and warmth of the running water in the white tub, cover me and protect me, the walls cry of the past they witnessed. And for the beautiful care takers of the Residence, thank you! Your light made my path brighter. Enjoy your stay at this amusing corner of history but I do not recommend the spicy olives in the room! Whoever came up with that idea, think again! For that, I wish to deduct half a start because I love olives so very much and I couldn't eat any. Service: 5

The location and attention to detail at this hotel makes it so special. It really is just a lovely vibe and curated equisitely. Doesn't feel right to call it a hotel. Dan gave us many excellent food recommendations and is a master cocktail chef himself. We found ourselves ending every evening in the downstairs lounge with a view of the ocean, good music, and excellent cocktails in hand. Service: 5
