Our server on the patio, Josh, made our evening remarkable. Personable, attentive and went above and beyond sharing his recommendations for out of town visitors (wrote about 8 names down of his favourites in Toronto). Each of our menu selections(“unexpected” red wine, chicken &pickles, steak & prawns, ice cream pie dessert) was delicious, full of flavour and beautifully presented). Great location downtown but just off the busy street making for a quiet dinner. Can’t recommend enough… we may be back a second time on our short trip!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $90–100 Recommended dishes: Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes

An Unforgettable Dining Experience There simply aren’t enough words to express how much I love The Frederick. From the incredible chefs and warm, attentive staff to the servers, bartenders, and my absolute favorite maître d’, Caitlin—every visit feels special. The Frederick isn’t just a restaurant to me; it’s my happy place. What sets it apart is how genuinely cared for you feel. They notice the little things, remember you, make you feel welcome, and somehow create that rare feeling that you’re visiting friends rather than simply going out for dinner. The entire team is warm, welcoming, and exceptional. And then there’s the food… absolutely top-notch. The Sweet Pea Avocado Dip, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, and those fresh Frederick Rolls are some of my absolute favorites. Every bite is memorable. And if you’re in the Financial District, their Happy Hour is simply the best. If you haven’t experienced The Frederick yet, you absolutely must. Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere, and you’ll understand why it has become one of my favorite places.
