Food was decent. Service was a little slow, but it was on the busier side. The restaurant was incredibly hot though, like they had no AC. There wasn't much difference between the temperature outside and inside, made it difficult to enjoy a meal. Spam fries sound interesting, but I would skip them. Smash burger was tasty, though not particularly smashed. It was missing all the crispy caramelized bits. Chicken Caesar sandwich was pretty good. Pot roast toasty had good flavor. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40

One day, every star will burn out, every civilization will fade, and nobody will remember what I ordered for dinner. But for a few hours on a Tuesday night, The George made a compelling argument that maybe that’s fine. Started with the Red Lion shrimp. Plump, fried, gone in four bites. I chewed slowly anyway, savoring the brief illusion of permanence that good crispy shrimp gives you. It won’t last. Nothing does. But for ninety seconds it was perfect. Entree was the black and bleu salad, and I want to be clear: this is not a salad for people who think rabbit food is a punishment. Seared steak, blue cheese doing exactly what blue cheese should do, greens that exist solely to hold everything together until your fork arrives. I ate the whole thing knowing full well my body will eventually return to the same indifferent dust as the steak’s. We had that in common, briefly. Dessert is where The George really commits to the bit: churros, served inside an actual branded cigar box, with vanilla ice cream melting against the warm fried dough in a way that felt almost deliberately designed to remind you that all beautiful things are temporary and you should just eat them anyway. I opened that box like it contained something profound. It contained churros. Equally satisfying outcome. Nothing about this meal will matter in a hundred years. Neither will I. Angel Was our server she was spot on, very knowledgeable, explained everything for us. Pub potatoe chips with French Onion Queso was amazing, I had the pub mini sliders, Chicken Caesar sandwich , prime rib The George dip, everything was spectacular. Everything was spectacular.
