Went to go in last night just after 10pm, but as I opened the doors security pulled me back and said "not tonight mate". I said "Can I ask why?" His reponse: "you've had one too many " I had not drank anything all day, I had arrived in town 5 minutes earlier to meet a guy (who had gone through the door just before me). As I was messaging him to tell him that the security wouldn't let me in for some reason, he came back out to see where I was. The security guard said "Oh, he's with you?" And then suddenly was fine with me going in. Ridiculously unprofessional. Firstly, giving a bullshit reason for not letting me in. Secondly, disregarding the initial reason he gave and allowing me in because I was with a guy who he knows...? Management seriously need to address this.

The lady who was working on the evening of the 1st July was being very mean to the new starter behind the bar. I felt so sorry for him. She was constantly telling him off and then he dropped a glass and she scowled at him and rolled her eyes. Try being more welcoming and supportive of new colleagues Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Recently refurbished with a bright, cheerful decor, The Goose is a new favourite of ours for a fun outing or for just chilling. With frequent cabaret shows and special events, there's always something going on to pique the interest, and with friendly and efficient staff, we are always reluctant to leave. We love it here - highly recommended. Price per person: £20–30 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
