During my road trip, I stumbled upon a gem of a BBQ spot called The Pig, and I'm glad I did! I tried their pulled pork sandwich, and it was incredibly juicy and flavorful. The meat was tender, and the sauce complemented it perfectly. I also ordered a side of potato salad, which was simply yummy. It had a great balance of flavors and wasn't overly heavy, making it a perfect pairing with the sandwich. To top it all off, I couldn't resist trying their peach cobbler for dessert. It arrived hot and was super tasty, with just the right amount of sweetness. Overall, The Pig definitely hit the spot for me. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was friendly. If you're craving some authentic BBQ on your travels, don't miss out on The Pig! Went to try this place out, it looked good. But we ordered and sat there for over 30 mins waiting for food. And server never put out order in.. wasted alot of time.. make sure they actually make your food if you go there. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I have been driving through -- and staying in -- Winnemucca for the past 15+ years, which is along my route when driving from California to South Dakota to visit my parents who live in the Black Hills. I have seen the signs for The Pig BBQ & Pub, and never really gave it much thought... ...until today. While on route back to California, I was perusing the local cuisine, specifically looking for something other than regular fast food chains. The Pig BBQ & Pub caught my eye. Well, to be honest, what caught my eye was "The Cuban." I am a complete sucker for Cubanos, and when a restaurant has it on its menu, especially a restaurant that should pride itself on its quality of pork, I completely cave. And, I am glad that I did. Due to COVID-19, I ordered carry-out, and chose cole slaw as the side. The photo does not do "The Cuban" justice at all. The proportions were perfect: plenty of thickly-sliced pickles, not too much cheese, and plenty of hearty meat. I skipped lunch, and "The Cuban" more than made up for that. Needless to say, the next time I am staying in Winnemucca for the night and need dinner, I know where I am going, and also know what I will order.
