We went for a special occasion. During the meal the service was quick and polite. I found it strange the steak au poivre did not have a cream sauce to balance the heavily peppered steak. They provided me with a sauce of drippings, butter and onion. Definitely no cogniac or cream in it. Sides were OK, a little underwhelming ( brussel sprouts and creamed spinach were incredibly standard, no balsamic glaze or pork belly, did not notice any roasted almonds in Brussels sprouts and creamed spinach was incredibly creamy but the spinach lacked flavor maybe its frozen). Steak was cooked well, escargot was very good, provided bread and butter was good, the rib roast was well seasoned and juicy but didnt have any bark or crust. Ambiance was very antiquated but was cozy, carpet was incredibly worn out and entryway into the establishment was lackluster (felt like entering a garage), dishware and bathrooms were clean. Live music was nice. I would not be so critical if the meal was more inexpensive, it was better than any fast casual restaurant. This was for our anniversary and the complimentary mouse was very good and they noted our event. At this price point I would have a hard time recommending for the food specifically but I could recommend for the service. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+

INCREDIBLE!!! My fiancée took me to The Prime Rib, Baltimore for my birthday last night, and it was to-die-for! As you enter you walk up a beautiful, carpeted path and feel like you’re going back in time to a more classy, refined era. Mark greeted us and quickly remembered my fiancée from when she spoke with him to go over some details days beforehand. He allowed us to select our table, which we did in the upbeat bar area. We started the night by enjoying some Grey Goose Cosmopolitans and Martinis as we noshed on their escargot, clams casino, and famous potato skins. The live music jazz band was reminiscent of an era where entertainment and dining went hand-in-hand, truly making it a night to remember. We dined on some lobster bisque and their Signature Cut 14 oz Prime Rib, which was cooked PERFECTLY medium-rare, with a side of sherry roasted mushrooms. Our server and his team were of course professional, jacketed, and polished, further adding to the elegance of the restaurant, while at the same time being jovial and easy-going. This has become a combination that is hard to find elsewhere, but is throughout The Prime Rib. We cannot wait to return for another night of music, drinks, and top-tier five star dining! What can I say I've being coming to The Prime Rib since 1986 (My 1st real date) and it still is a classic gem when it comes to steakhouses. There are about 6 steakhouses on The Charm'tastic Mile of Baltimore but, The Prime Rib is always a go-to. Had the Prime Rib Special on Halloween night with jumbo-shrimp cocktail & clams casino. The steak fries & green beans were awesome. The Newton Claret went well with dinner. 5 stars al the way!
