First of all this review has nothing to do with the waiting staff what so ever they were extremely welcoming and professional throughout, now to bad stuff my order was 10' sirloin medium with a side of chips and onion rings with a pepper sauce which comes to an absolute astounding £51 and at that price it better be right unfortunately my steak came as well and was tough the chips tasted of cardboard and the onion rings were cheap frozen type the sauce seems to be a powdered not fresh as a whole plate i was very disappointed to say the least my wife plate was similar unfortunately ive been coming to the Ramside over 30 years and this is a real upsetting post for me to do but at the end of the day sort it out management its not good enough

Very very poor, ordered and 8oz Fillet steak medium rare, First one was completely cooked through so I sent it back thinking it would come out perfect. Then this is how the second one came out looking like this. £40 for a steak and they can’t cook it properly?!!! Throughout the entire experience, we had finished our drinks and didn’t get asked if we would like another. Premium prices for poor service. Price per person: £50–60 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

WOW! My fiancé and I dined at The Rib Room while staying as guests at Ramside Hall on New Year’s Eve. The food was out of this world, the steak was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! Every aspect of the meal felt extra special. The staff were friendly and attentive and it was a lovely atmosphere, a slice of France in County Durham! Sadly we’re not that local but if we’re ever back in the area we’d return in a heartbeat. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £80–90 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
