The Rich Uncle Tavern has been a go-to restaurant in downtown Kitchener. They have an impressive selection of beer on tap and an awesome menu that caters to so many different culinary impressions. The drinks and food are high quality, but more notably their staff, like Adam and Rachel, have made the space so welcoming for guests. My partner and I are deeply saddened to hear of the decision to close the restaurant. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I’ve been coming to Rich Uncle every month for years. So broken hearted to hear you’re closing. The food is great, the interior is unique, the staff has always been so friendly and above and beyond. Shame on you for pulling a shady last minute move and not providing any notice to your GREAT employees. They can find better, but you may not. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I came in with my 2 friends for the Drag Race Finale night and it was AWESOME! Adam was our server and he was super attentive and most of all, personable. I actually have never been to this restaurant, but I received an ad on my Instagram the night prior, and I don’t regret it! Drinks were great and the food was even better. (We had the Korean Nachos, Duck Wings, Poutine, and the Sticky Toffee Pudding) I think having more inclusive and LGBTQIA+ events in DTK is wonderful and brings our community together. Maybe having a drag brunch on a Sunday with the local queens would be an option, which would be so fun! I would definitely come out for more of these events. I think my only note, which Adam tried to fix, would be to have subtitles because sometimes it hard to hear.
