Had to ask for refund! The guy making our pizza and fries did not wear gloves ATALL which we had to pointout feeling disgusted. The explanation was "he washes his hands regularly so hands are clean". The other guy who was wearing gloves was handling phone, cash, computer with the same gloves with what he made pizza.Just bad food handling practice.! Not recommended at all. Food: 1

OUR FIRST VISIT!! To the owners: please review your kitchen camera footage from around 5:00 PM today. One of the kitchen staff was handling fries and pizza with bare hands and was not wearing gloves. When this was raised with the counter staff, the explanation given was that the kitchen worker washes his hands and maintains cleanliness. While handwashing is important, customers also expect visible food-handling hygiene practices, especially when preparing ready-to-eat food. I was offered a replacement order, but after witnessing the situation, I chose to request a refund instead. This was a disappointing FIRST experience and something other customers should be aware of. I hope management addresses the issue and reinforces proper food-safety standards with the team. Another review also highlights the same issue a while ago. Really loved the woodfired pizza and loaded fries from The Rustic Pizzeria. Opposite Pak n Save Ormiston, so really convenient location too. The dough was really chewy and delicious and the price was reasonable too. So glad that there's a decent woodfired pizza spot in Flatbush now!
