Update: As shown by the response by the owner, my experience is not unlike others. Instead of taking accountability for poor quality and constant changes to the food (even if the menu doesn’t change to match what’s actually being served) they choose to attack those who are writing an honest review of their experiences. Which in response to “just tell us” we did. The first 2 times that we did not have a good experience. Nothing was done except for an “apology” and request for us to come back. Which we did today, as show by the photos attached to this review. And after having a 3rd bad experience, no I will not support or recommend this place. Regardless if the business is locally owned or not, if the food quality is not up to par we do not patronize the business. Original Post: We tried The Slice for the first time in December 2024, shortly after they opened. I had initially wrote a review on Facebook recommending them because the food was incredible. I am sad to say I have deleted the post as of today, and do not recommend them anymore. After the first visit, we have tried them 3 more times since. Each time we have ordered The Eldrich as an appetizer as it was our favorite part the first time we ate here, and have had nothing but issues with it. Each time the “flag sticks” that are listed as the bread item that comes with it is different. Our second visit they were very burnt garlic knots, our third visit was a carry out order where they were cheese stuffed (and under cooked) pieces of bread, and this 4th and final carry out order today came with unseasoned half pieces of breadsticks (which we were told over the phone when we ordered it would be garlic knots). The marinara dip itself this time has a horrible smell, has large cloves of garlic (again we were told it wouldn’t have these as this was the issue we had with it the second time we ate it) and also has a mysterious paste of some kind in the center of the marinara (and no, it is not melted goat cheese, we have no idea what it is but it smells awful). The pizza we ordered today was the Old Course, and it was swimming in hot honey and had hardly any marinara. Were it not for these issues, the pizza would have been good in comparison to the 2 pizzas we had at our previous visits which were extremely undercooked and greasy. I would love to support a local restaurant, but after 3 bad experiences spread out over the course of a year, we will not be returning and I would not recommend the restaurant. Very odd. Let’s address the Eldrich. It has large amounts of garlic puree in it. That’s the “paste” in the middle. We’ve never had cheese filled knots or bread. Like never ever. lol So 3 bad experiences and instead of letting us know, bc you know, you want to support local. But you go to google because we didn’t meet your preferences of how YOU expect pizza to be cooked. But yet again, didn’t ask for anything specific. So we just need to figure it out without actual feedback. Folks. Anyone reading this, if it’s ever not PERFECT, let us know immediately, we’ll always make it right!

An absolute gem of a pizza place!! We had tots, spears and two pizzas. The super sized tots were great! The spears were crisp and delicious! The Old Course pizza was excellent! Highs recommended!! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
