Looking for someone to eat in Brighton and found The Timbuktu Cafe. Lots of tables available at 10:00am. We picked an outdoor table. Friendly staff. The cafe also has a kids play area and is dog friendly. We met a cute little Jack Russell Terrier puppy called Marge who loved getting pats. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

The Timbuktu Cafe is a great cafe and one I hadn't visited before. Had a few smoothies and coffee and we enjoyed them all. Staff very friendly. Had a great menu and gives me a reason to return for something more substantial. Parking not too bad and great space to sit outside and watch the world pass by.

You’ll find gold at The Timbuktu Cafe in Brighton East.This cafe has a decent kid’s area and some great menu options for both adults and children. They certainly have one of our favourite kid’s menus. Have you ever seen options such as Sausages with Chips (My Daughter went bonkers!), Nasi Goreng, Yoghurt with Berries, Jasmine Rice, Steamed Veggies, and Mac & Cheese on a kid's menu?Adult options include your Modern Australian faves, but also some Asian and European dishes, or charcuterie boards (especially for their Friday night service). Kids and parents will be pleased and leave with full tummies.The kids are kept happy with their kid’s corner, which includes a cubby house, kitchen, books and other toys. There are also the facilities that you'd expect, such as high chairs, space for prams and baby change facilities. Bjorgvin - Smoked Salmon, Fried Egg, Tartar Sauce, Hash Brown, served with tomato, feta and pine nut salad. Kid's Mac & Cheese, and Kid's Sausage with Chips.
