We stopped by for dinner and had to wait 30 minutes since we didn’t have reservations, so we stopped by their brewery a few doors down to kill time. We were able to bring our drinks over once our table was ready which was really convenient. Our friends ordered the lamb leg and the pork belly and really loved it. For the 2 people who ordered steak were disappointed. They were both so incredibly chewy. Don’t order the steak and you should be good! Service is a little slow, but very friendly. Service: 5

Dined at the restaurant (not distillery) on June 7, 2026. Had the delicious Uile-Bhest whisky-cured salmon. Not a lot of fish there, but it was fantastic. Definitely would order again. Also had the Shrimp Scampi in a Basket, which was batter-fried shrimp on a pile of chips (fries). Very tasty with nice, light breading but not the most creative dish on the menu. Came with a surprisingly tasty salad and I believe housemade tartar sauce. Also would highly recommend the cocktails (which I can't correctly remember the names of...) I believe I had something called the Sweet and Stubborn, which was very good and a whisky drink that I can't remember the name of but was one of their signature cocktails from the drink menu. A friend had the blue cheese panacotta, which was really tasty. Excellent service and open kind of later than some spots. Did not stay at the hotel, so have no info about those aspects. Service: 5

Had dinner at Uile-bheist Restaurant (Waterside) and overall had a good experience. I ordered the traditional steak pie, which was really tasty and definitely a highlight of the meal. The staff were super friendly and provided great service throughout the evening. One thing to note is that the food took quite a while to come out—over an hour—but we were a group of six, so I’m sure that contributed to the delay. While my meal was excellent, two people at our table ordered the roast and found it quite dry. To the restaurant’s credit, they were very apologetic about it and comped those meals, which was greatly appreciated and showed they care about their customers’ experience. Overall, the friendly service and good food made for an enjoyable visit, and I’d be happy to give them another try. Service: 5
