Being back home now, I appreciate even more the coincidence of finding this place. The first night after arriving, my partner and I were walking through the Preveza when we noticed lights and distant music coming from the street parallel to ours. Lured by this, we approached and merely passed the place, not knowing where we were or what the rules are. We were captivated by the music and the localness of the place. We returned two days later and had delicious suvlaki, tzatziki and tirokafteri. From what we found out from the owner's daughter (hello again ) the place is run by a family (unfortunately I don't know their name). Mr Greek is a grill master who makes his personal selection of the meat he cooks. The suvlaki was one of the best things I have ever eaten off the grill. The meat was juicy but at the same time well browned. Hats off to them! The Greek lady, a very kind and smiling person, treated us to her unusual dessert. I won't reveal what it was, but we had never eaten anything like it in our lives. Mr and Mrs Greeks' son is passionate about music and this passion could be felt in the choice of music that made our time there enjoyable. For me this is important given the number of places where music kills the atmosphere rather than builds it. Once again, we came the day before our departure, thinking that this would be the best place to say goodbye to Prevesa. This time the atmosphere was completely different as a lot of people sat down in front of the TV to watch a football match. It was pleasing to see how sport is bringing the younger and older generations together. How the young get away from their duties to get excited about a match, if only for a moment. How the local community has the space to function. And this brings me to another advantage of this place. It is located in a park between blocks next to a playground, which means that no one is restricted in getting here. This place is alive and vibrant with urban folklore and acts as an inclusive and egalitarian place. And on top of that, you can eat here very well for reasonable money. I would like to pass more places like this on my way. If the roads of life lead us here again we will definitely visit you! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
