Food quality has gone drastically down hill had a monblac box and all the prawn sushi was full of tails and no meat and other prawn dishes just tastes not fresh other fish tasted abit old aswell Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: A$1–20 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Order the Monteblanc box and it was the worst quality sushi I’ve had. The rolls were filled with the tails of the prawn, 0 meat and the salmon tasted bland along with the prawn. It wasn’t fresh at all I just hope I don’t get food poisoning cuz my stomach was upset afterwards no amount of soy sauce could fix this. Food: 1

When you sit down at the quaintly authentic Japanese izakaya style tables and taste your first mouthful of food - You’ll be instantly transported to the tiny alley way eateries in any Japanese city or town.This is without doubt one of the best Japanese restaurants in Sydney. Their chef masterfully conjures up the most perfect broth for each of the soups. My favourites are Spicy Pork Ramen and the White Ramen, although it’s hard to pick a favourite - you could literally close your eyes and point at the menu and you’ll find the best soup you’ve tasted. They also serve rice dishes and Bento dishes too, which are amazing, but I always find myself coming back for the ramen.If you find yourself in Carlingford - You’ve got to make time to stop and eat at Tonkotsuya
