We came here for the steamed soups and claypot rice. First visit and we are disappointed with the quality of food. We ordered hainan chicken set, steam prawn rice rolls, double steamed black chicken soup and a pork rib with chicken feet claypot rice. The pork ribs in the claypot rice was sour, that indicates old meat, rice was fried with carrots and peas? Did they reuse rice from another dish? Stream prawn rice rolls were not made fresh to order. The hainan chicken set was sub par. The only ok dish was the double steamed black chicken soup. I really hope the restaurant can lift its standards and quality. Top Soup is hands-down my go-to spot when I’m craving something nourishing, authentic, and satisfying. Their double-boiled soups are exactly what you’d expect from traditional Cantonese cooking—clear, rich in flavour, and made with real ingredients. No MSG, no shortcuts—just slow-simmered comfort in every bowl. My personal favourite is the Ganoderma & Codonopsis Liver-Support Soup paired with the Curry Beef Brisket Claypot Rice. The soup is gentle yet flavourful, and the rice is served sizzling hot with the perfect amount of crispy edges. It's that rare combo that fills you up without weighing you down. Even their desserts are on point. Try the Double Skin Milk Pudding or Mango Pomelo Sago—delicate, not too sweet, and beautifully presented. What I appreciate most are the little touches: packaging that keeps everything warm for delivery, and a kind reminder on the lid to "add salt if needed" since the soups are naturally seasoned. You can really feel the heart behind the food here. Highly recommend this spot whether you’re after something healthy, something hearty, or just a taste of home.
