Went into this dinner experience expecting our meal at Topper's to be the best meal we would have during our entire trip... but we couldn't have been more wrong. We started with drinks on the lawn at sunset which is absolutely beautiful and probably the only thing I would recommend anyone going here to spend money on food & drink-wise. Once our reservation time arrived we made our way to a table on the patio that was barely set and left us having to request silverware almost immediately upon arrival of bread service and appetizers. It consistently took upwards of 20 minutes to catch the eye of a waiter and request drinks, water, or additional silverware. Here's where things really get dicey: the food. At a restaurant of this caliber, touting the kind of reputation and acclaim that Topper's does, the food should NEVER be the biggest problem. We ordered the Gemelli Pasta which was so incredibly bland it seemed like we were being pranked. My friend's halibut completely lacked flavor, no salt or citrus. The french fries that we added as a side to our burger were probably the best tasting thing on the table that night. I would absolutely not return to Topper's and would not recommend it to anyone who appreciates well seasoned, flavorful food. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

We dined here last summer with a large group and service and food was outstanding. Everyone was happy! We returned yesterday for date night and again, service was lovely. We really enjoyed the tarte, crab cake, and halibut. Dessert, a cookie bar with cookie butter ice cream(!!), was recommended by our kind and attentive server, Jerome. We also told him how much we loved the toppers brown bread, and he brought us a to-go slice and the recipe along with it - so kind! We love Toppers. Go for the meal, stay for the sunset.

The food was good, but the service was very slow. It felt like they forgot about our party and did very little to accommodate for that fact. We waited a very long time for waters refilled, and felt like much of the basic service one would expect when dining at a fine dining establishment was not present. The food was great - everyone enjoyed their meals. The dessert was strange - the crème brûlée was in no way a crème brûlée and more like a custard parfait, even though it was delicious. Would hesitate to return again with the high price point and lack of quality service to match. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
