Experience the Magic of Toro at La Cantera! We had the pleasure of dining at Tork at La Cantera, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance captivated us with its vibrant energy and stylish decor.The highlight of the day was meeting Diego, the bartender extraordinaire. His skill in crafting the perfect Carajillo was nothing short of artistry. The blend of espresso and Licor 43, served over ice, was the ideal balance of bitter and sweet, providing a delightful pick-me-up.Diego didn't just stop at drinks; he took the time to guide us through the menu! .If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and visit Toro at La Cantera. Toro Kitchen + Bar $$ San Antonio, TX **For this review and more follow my insta @dish_360 The Good: This is our 4th visit and I finally have a verdict. YES. Absolute YES to this place. Typically, we go when it's packed and order a paella and a few tapas and take off. We dedicated today to tapas and I'm thrilled we did. Mini Capraccios: Bruh...it's raw meat. I'm a huge meat lover and I love medium rare/rare....but it's straight raw. It took me a minute to get in the right head space for it but I mean...I like sushi so...Anyway, had it and ADORED it. It has black truffle and parmesan on top with their house mustard. All.frikkin.delicious. Solomillo: These cuts were phenomenal. They had a smokey flavor and were cooked perfectly medium rare. These are all meant to be shared but next time we're getting our own. Calamari: I love calamari I think it's a fun snack. Common issues will be bad breading, over breading or cooked to the point it's chewy. Toro gave HUGE pieces of lightly breaded calamari and it melted in your mouth. I don't normally hand out compliments but I thought it was perfect. . Datiles al Gocino & Queso: Perfectly cooked bacon wrapped around a date stuffed with Serrano ham, cream cheese and Manchego cheese. Queso de Cabra Frito: Fried goat cheese w/carmelized onions and licor 43 honey. *so I love cheese and honey great combo and I enjoyed this but if given the choice try the dishes listed above before this one. Torrijas: Bread soaked in sweet cream that is fried and drizzled in honey. Get it with the pecan ice cream. *Also, my other favorite is the lemon carlota but please only get the lemon if you like lemon. Don't be that person that complains it's too tart. The Bad: Nadda. I'm glad I finally took a deep dive with the menu. It's a bit pricey but tapas generally are. Just get a little adventurous with your picks and you'll have a blast. **For this review and more follow my insta @dish_360
