Delicious food. Located adjacent to JR Sendai Station, Hotel Metropolitan Sendai offers gentle cuisine made with carefully selected ingredients, primarily from local produce. The restaurant, which is based on the motif of Shangri-La, has a calm, formal atmosphere and a certain dignified impression. Toh-Lee's dishes are based on Sichuan cuisine and incorporate the best of Cantonese, Shanghai, and Beijing cuisine. In addition to fresh ingredients such as Sendai beef, abalone from Sanriku, and komatsuna and yukina (Japanese mustard greens) from Miyagi, you can also enjoy shark fin and bird's nest, which are said to have skin-beautifying properties. Of the many menu items, the lunch-only "Whole Braised Shark Fin Rice" is a must-try. This is an incredibly luxurious dish, with shark fin topped on a soy sauce-based soup.
