I can’t say enough good things about Dawn, the General Manager at The Trading Post. She took what easily could have been a disappointing experience and turned it into an absolutely fantastic night. I started with The Don Margarita, and something just seemed a little off with it. Dawn immediately took care of it, comped the drink, and offered to replace it with a top-shelf margarita. I decided to try the Peach Goddess instead, and it was fantastic. Then I ordered the fish and chips. The flavor of the first order was delicious, but the fish had definitely spent a little too long in the fryer. The part that really impressed me was that I never even had to say anything. Dawn noticed it herself and brought me a new, giant piece of fish cooked perfectly. She told me the first one wasn’t up to her standards and she wanted to make sure I had one that was. That kind of attention to detail and pride in what comes out of the kitchen is something you don’t see everywhere. To top it all off, at the end of the night I realized she had also comped my Peach Goddess. I actually asked them to put it back on the bill because I was more than happy to pay for it, but they refused. Dawn absolutely made the experience. Problems can happen at any restaurant, but how they’re handled says everything about the people running it. She was attentive, professional, incredibly kind, and clearly cares about the quality of both the food and the experience her guests receive. 10/10 food and service. We will absolutely be back.
