This place is CONSTANTLY CHANGING OWNERS!!! The wait staff employs teenagers that are texting and talking to one another. BEWARE!!!

This restaurant is new business and has been trying but with any new business there will be some minor hiccups, as as I thought things were starting to come around for this place, it just went from bad to worse. My 1st visit after they opened was in the evening around 6pm, The food at first was okay, service was okay as well, but I could see it had alot of potential to be something that Terrell has not had in a long time and that is a good sports bar minus all the cigarrette smoke. Thought to myself I will come back. My 2nd visit was to attend and support a karaoke DJ...the house was packed, but there were only 2 waitresses and 1 bartender and customers were starting to get upset because they were not being waited on and their food that night was mediocre at best, so it made me wonder if they changed Chef's. Not to mention, the 1 bartender would get an attitude if you took your drinks back to her to fix or redo because they were made wrong. It was supposed to be a fun karaoke night...but a lot of folks then said they would not return due too poor service and waitress attitudes. Hesitantly, I went back for another event at Unground with a group of friends but while I was there I almost had my car keys stolen by someone that was in the restaurant...after that whole fiasco and a threat to call the police, my keys mysteriously appeared in the women's restroom...but I had used the men's that night because the women's were unaviailable (and both bathrooms were already investigated earlier with none to be found). Even one of the customers there said she saw some keys in the mens bathroom. So I went to the bar to see if any had been turned in, but no avail. I would like to thank whomever placed my keys in the restroom, so that we could all go home. That incident should have never happened and the owner had no clue how to handle. Not one time did the owner tell me how sorry he was that all of this was going on in his restuaurant...he just stood there starring into space. it wasn't like the place was packed there was only about 10 of us in there including the waitstaff. The owner just ignored me and looked like he wanted to runaway. I should have learned my lesson from that incident....but I went back there again to Underground Bar & Grill in Terrell, TX, On Saturday, July 9th. Becuase I was helping a friend host a birthday party and keeping my fingers crossed nothing would go wrong. I was helping with decorations and helping to move things around. It all started off nice, we were all having a great time, the restaurant was packed...with the majority of their customers being with our birthday party group. We had karaoke, dancing and lots of fun. One of the waitresses came over to our group and said she had poured some rainbow shots & wanted to know if Our table would like them because she didn't want to throw away alcohol. I said how much..the waitress said $8, I asked if others wanted some of these they said yes and I asked her to bring them over and place on my tab. As it was getting to the end of the night I asked for my tab. This waitress walked over and handed me my bill...I noticed the rainbow shot was listed at $9 on my bill, so I politely said, I thought you said the rainbow shot was $8. But I see here you have charged me for $9. Then she gets an attitude and says. " I did say $8, but that was last nights price, so yeah it is what it is." Then I said, "You should honor what you offered or you should have either came over here with my bill and let me know in advance of this issue before just handing it to me that had some form of communication"...than it is what it is. The whole time this waitress was very disrespectful and had an attitude, my bill was $72, so you would think you would give your customers a little more respect and courtesy...but no it just went from worse to bad. She goes over to her manager Carlos...I watch them laughing and conveying, then she comes back to my table with my card and final bill and says "Carlos is going to stand by what is on the drink menu, and since you are making such a big deal over a $1, then here take one of my $1." (as she tossed it at me). That just fueled me even more and I told her that it wasn't about a $1 it was about good customer service and what you offer in price even verballyshould stand, unless you want to come back and apologize that you made a mistake...which you never have" I told her I would never come back into that place again and she said "Fine get out" as she laughed. What kind of place treats their customers like this???? What kind of owner let's this escalate to that point and his staff talking to customers like that??? Not to mention if we didn't have this birthday party there, they would of had no customers. I am still appalled at how myself and my friends were treated here. STAY AWAY from Underground Bar & Grill at 501 E. Moore Ave, Terrell, TX. There food is not all that great, and service is horrible. Signed by: Kristye P.
