Этот ресторан располагается рядом с Central Park. Здесь можно попробовать блюда японской кухни. В Uji Time подают неплохие тайяки, рыбу в кунжуте и бобовый тофу. Многие клиенты рекомендуют заказать здесь вкусно приготовленное мороженое с кунжутом, вафли и круассаны. Закажите хороший маття, рамунэ или красный чай.

Pro tip: When I went the sign in the window said they were permanently closing 11/29/21. Check-in for a free topping. They allow samples of the soft serve! Highlights: They allowed samples of the soft serve which is sooo nice!! I loved the black sesame and seasonal tofu flavors so much. The ube was good too but a bit on the sweeter side. The red bean paste topping is delicious as well. If it's not a pre-swirled flavor, they still let you get two different flavors which is nice (but they charge $1 for it). Lowlights: The service was subpar, but that might have been because they were closing down. They weren't really sure what was in the parfait when I asked, we ordered three things and they got one item wrong and forgot the last item. They also put the soft serve in the smallest cup which really wasn't desirable as it would drip down the sides. Again it might have been because they were closing the next day, but they were out of a lot of items like the croissant taiyaki which I was really looking forward to trying - it's frozen which is why they were out. Also beware, the matcha did not taste like matcha and it was a little sour so maybe it was even spoiled.

I love this place! The matcha soft serve in the taiyaki cone with Nutella at the bottom is so delicious!! The matcha is strong enough to get a good flavor :) I tried other flavors such as malt and peach - seasonal flavors. In my opinion, these were less creamy and I wasn't very keen on the flavors. Their other standard flavor is black sesame which I think is pretty good, but I always resort to match. Knocking off 1 star for price though... $7 for a taiyaki and ice cream is more on the expensive side. Still a creamy, yummy treat!

After having Uji Time in Japantown in SF for the first time, I was hooked with their matcha soft serve. This location is in downtown San Mateo, there is parking garages/lots nearby or street parking. It is located in a busy area, so parking may be hard to find depending the day/time you come. I usually get the matcha soft serve. You can get it in a taiyaki fish cone also, which is very cute and great for IG photos. Although, I wish it had mochi in it like the ones at Somi Somi. Sometimes, it can be a bit on the icy side though and not creamy. I think it is hit or miss.
