Coolest bars in Colombo right now. The space itself is worth a visit, a beautifully restored heritage building with high ceilings, exposed brick, vibrant Sri Lankan artwork and a relaxed atmosphere that somehow feels both energetic and intimate. Every corner has character. The cocktails were excellent. Creative without being pretentious, well balanced, and packed with local influences. The smoked citrus cocktail I tried was outstanding and easily one of the better drinks I've had in Colombo. Food was equally impressive. The grilled chicken with the rich yellow sauce was packed with flavour, perfectly cooked, and felt like a modern take on familiar Sri Lankan tastes. Service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable without hovering, and the overall vibe struck that rare balance between a great cocktail bar and a place where you can comfortably settle in for the evening. If you're visiting Colombo or even if you're a local looking for somewhere a little different, Uncle's is absolutely worth adding to your list. Looking forward to coming back.

Had a nice evening at Uncle’s. The cocktails were good, the vibe was great, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the night. It’s a nice spot to relax and enjoy a few drinks with friends. The only downside was the food. Most of the dishes we tried were surprisingly sweet, including the cheese toast, mutton rolls, and hot butter cuttlefish. The hot butter cuttlefish was also a bit overcooked and tasted burnt. Overall, a great place for drinks and atmosphere, but the food could be improved. Price per person: Rs 10,000+ Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
