Food was expensive, small portions and not so good (especially the chicken in the starter menu). Staff were nice and helpful. Not recommended overall. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: kr 600–700 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

VOLK – More Style Than Substance A recent dinner at VOLK left us underwhelmed. While the concept is described as medium-sized sharing plates, what arrived was often confusingly small—our first dish consisted of just three asparagus spears for 150 SEK. It set the tone for a meal that felt more like bar snacks than a proper dinner. The atmosphere is lively, with a young, creative crowd, but unfortunately the experience didn’t match the vibe. It’s unclear whether there’s a proper kitchen on-site, and the ventilation was poor enough to become a topic at the table. Thankfully, we ordered the house fries—and the only truly shareable plate of the evening. In contrast, we’d had a hearty, satisfying lunch earlier the same day at Saltenporten Canteen for just 135 SEK, which made VOLK's pricing feel even more off-mark. All in all, VOLK is best approached as a bar with pricey small snacks rather than a dining destination. I give it a 2 out of 5. Price per person: kr 400–500 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
