This place is fantastically delicious. Tony Lopez provided excellent service and was very knowledgeable about other locations. Great job Tony!! HANDS DOWN best Mediterranean pita I've have since moving to San Antonio! My family agrees.

I had a great experience here recently. Very unique approach to lunch. It's a nice change of pace and has very healthy options. I would recommend this restaurant and will be going back.

Kudos to Cris and the Verts (aka Vertskebap) crew! Fast, fresh, unique taste in the heart of TexMex country. We live way North of town, so eating out at an in-town restaurant is still a treat. If it's good food, it's worth the 25-mile drive to get it! Verts (which used to be Vertskebap) is worth it! The first three times we stopped by, Cris was on duty and gave us the full history of the company (founded in Austin by some UT folks) and made recommendations on the "best" combinations to try. I think we have worked our way through the menu by now. Cris knew everything about the company, the food prep, and the tremendous growth as this little startup becomes a chain. (Yay!) The basic premise is easy - think "Subway assembly line", but with a unique pita-like crusty bread wrapping (not a typical mortal pita!). You pick your "style" (type of pita - or a wrap - or a salad bowl with lettuce - or a bed of rice). Then pick your meat/protein (beef + lamb gyro meat, chicken, meatballs, or falafel). They "shave" the meats off of a vertical rotissary right in front of you. Then dress it up with sauces and veggies. Their sweet potato fries are excellent! My favorite (after trying many!) is the beef/lamb on a pita with their spicy sauce. (The chips/hummus is good - but tiny...) Vegetarian options are skimpy - basically a "salad" or a "rice bowl" or falafel... With custom dressing, veggies, and decorations. Absolute KUDOS to Cris! An excellent Ambassador to the store, the brand, and the food! JDMc
