Wow wow wow! Incredible meal, one of our favourites in Greece. We especially loved the tuna tartare, ceviche, grilled calamari and roasted carrot with dukkah. The service was attentive and knowledgeable. In contrast we went to Pharoah the previous night which was extremely disappointing and over hyped, the food at Via Maris was the real deal. Thanks for a fabulous night. Price per person: €40–45 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This hidden gem is well hidden, tucked away in a small alley in the bustling area of Psiri. I stumbled upon it completely by accident, but the reviews definitely warranted a visit. There were three of us on a lazy Sunday evening. The place was pretty empty, but that didn’t deter us from sitting down and basically ordering half the menu. Kelly, our waitress, was one of the best I’ve ever encountered — attentive, friendly, and genuinely warm. She even went out of her way to get us a dish that wasn’t on the menu. I could go on and give a detailed breakdown of every dish, but that would take all evening. So, long story short: this is a must-visit spot for foodies and wannabe foodies alike. Do not skip the gnocchi, the lemon pasta, the sourdough focaccia, the tomato dish, or the beetroot salad. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. And to top it all off: the chocolate mousse was one for the ages. Rich. Creamy. Heavenly. Definitely coming back. Price per person: €45–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
